GAMDAN Optics Advances KGW Crystal Development for Raman and Yb-Doped Applications
San Jose, CA, USA — November 6, 2025 — GAMDAN Optics, Inc. is pleased to announce significant progress in the growth and characterization of undoped KGW (Potassium Gadolinium Tungstate) crystals, optimized for Raman shift applications in ultrafast laser systems.
Our current growth efforts have yielded promising results, with absorption measurements from an earlier boule showing <50 ppm/cm at 1064 nm and <200 ppm/cm at 532 nm. These values reflect GAMDAN Optics, Inc. grown KGW’s exceptional optical quality and suitability for high-energy laser environments. Further optimization is underway, and we are actively preparing to process a more recent boule for expanded data collection.
In parallel, GAMDAN Optics, Inc. is entering the planning phase for KGW crystal development, anticipating growing demand for diode-pumped solid-state laser platforms. We invite collaboration and interest from research and industry partners as we expand into doped KGW materials.
An absorption report is available upon request, and we welcome inquiries regarding KGW growth and future availability. Our team is committed to transparency and technical excellence as we push forward in crystal innovation.
