The World's Leading Defense Photonics Symposium
SPIE Defense + Security is the world's leading symposium for sensing, imaging, and photonics technologies in defense and national security. Organized by SPIE — the international society for optics and photonics — it draws thousands of researchers, engineers, program managers, and government officials together each year to advance the state of the art.
The 2026 event runs April 26–30 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland, just outside Washington D.C. — placing it at the intersection of cutting-edge science and government decision-making. The exhibition floor is open April 28–30.
