GAMDAN Optics is pleased to announce its participation in SPIE Optifab 2025, the premier optical fabrication event in North America. The exhibition will take place October 21–23, 2025, at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center, with the technical program running October 20–23, 2025.

Scientists and engineers working with nonlinear crystals must understand and consider dispersion and walkoff when calculating phase matching conditions, conversion efficiencies, and beam propagation dynamics in nonlinear optical processes such as second-harmonic generation (SHG), sum-frequency generation (SFG), and parametric down-conversion (PDC).

Large-aperture laser materials such as crystalline gain media and nonlinear optical crystals are essential for the success of high-energy lasers, but attractive crystals, such as LBO, are often not available in large enough sizes. An optically seamless and inherently scalable process for aperture enlargement is reported here.
